What To Look For In A Great Guitar Teacher

If you're looking for a guitar teacher, you may be overwhelmed by the amount of teachers out there for you to pick from!

In this guide I'm going to explain the factors you should consider when choosing who will give you guitar lessons.

  1. Good Testimonials

It's a good idea to go with somebody who has a great track record of helping lots of people improve at the instrument! Check guitar teacher reviews, and see who has the most/best reviews. Just like you would when buying something from Amazon for example.

2. A Structured Curriculum

If a teacher doesn't have a structured learning path for your improvement as a guitarist, chances are they're just making it up as they go along. The job of the guitar teacher is to guide the student to a high level of playing in the easiest, quickest way possible.

When you turn up to your first lesson, ask your instructor about what their curriculum looks like.

3. Goal Setting

A good guitar teacher will always give you good goals to work towards with a step by step action plan of how to get there. All you have to do is follow the instructions :)

So always make sure that your guitar tuition is focused on achieving a specific outcome, and you'll be making great progress.

If you live in Worthing and surrounding areas, I can offer you guitar tuition that includes all three of these important factors. Head to the contact page to get in touch and arrange a FREE taster session!
